The Feeding Program is designed to provide supplemental food to malnourished children aged 7 and below. The program involves providing one (1) complete meal everyday for a period of 6-months to children identified as first-to-third degree malnourished by the community leaders and the DSWD. Malnourished children aged 1 to 6 years old is the target group as this is the critical brain development age. These children are evaluated at the end of the 6-month program to determine whether they should continue receiving supplemental feeding.
The program also includes training and seminar for parents on proper nutrition and care for their children. The mothers are tasked to do the cooking and marketing as part of their participation in the program.
